Fresh roots will be dug soon! We dig roots in the fall when the energy has gone back down to the roots of the plant. Our echinacea is three years old! And we are excited to dig are marshmallow, Valerian, elecampane, and Ashwagandha for you as well. Order with our fresh herb order form available in our bio. Roots are also really easy medicines for us to ship out to you fresh, because the weather isn’t so hot and they won’t degrade like shipping blossoms in the mail. Wrapped up the first season of our #communityapothecaryCSA in which folks spent 5 months making medicines from our plants. The invitation was given for these folks to come help grow, harvest, process and make medicine from our gardens and share with each other in the knowledge, tastes and energetics of freshly prepared herbal remedies. We made everything from tulsi honey to bee balm vinegar, hags tapers to elderberry syrup, calendula oil to skullcap glycerin. There is so much abundant medicine right now! So we are hosting a hands on medicine makers class on Sunday where we will process herbs, make fresh medicines, mix tea and tincture formulas and taste some delicious syrups. Space is limited and class will take place outside in shade.

We need a bunch of local and sustainably cultivated beeswax! I would love to make hags tapers and candles from these mullein stalks that have been in our garden for the past few years. It would be fun if we all lit are altars, homes, windows, dinner tables with them this winter. Let me know if you know of anyone who has that beeswax.

It’s elderberry season! We have fresh and frozen elderberries right now, and our dehydrator is full to get some dried ones ready for our website! Bulk discounts, for orders over five pounds is available. You can pick up at the market or the farm and make your own elderberry teas, syrups, vinegars and baked treats! Our medicine making class this Tuesday night will detail the making of elderberry syrup so get registered if you want some guidance.
